Job Summary

The Area Contracting Manager, leads a team of Contracting Managers to develop and optimize a competitive supplier portfolio, driving regional growth, profitability, and commercial performance. The role is responsible for supplier strategy, commercial negotiations, team leadership, and performance management, ensuring delivery of regional revenue, margin, and sourcing objectives while building strong supplier partnerships and a high-performing team culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Contracting Managers.
  • Deliver regional commercial, sourcing, and operational objectives.
  • Build and optimize a competitive supplier portfolio.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements, rates, and supplier terms.
  • Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships.
  • Monitor commercial KPIs and supplier performance.
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and improvement actions.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver business goals.
  • Drive regional growth, profitability, and operational excellence.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience managing travel supply chains and contracting suppliers across products such as hotels, transfers, car rental, or experiences.
  • Strong commercial negotiation experience, including rates, terms, service levels, and performance agreements.
  • Proven leadership experience managing, coaching, and developing contracting or procurement teams.
  • Ability to manage change, conflict, and underperformance effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive actions.
  • Experience managing supplier performance against commercial KPIs.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working with supplier and client API integrations.
  • Direct contracting experience with transfer providers, DMCs, transport operators, destination services, or ground handling suppliers.
  • Understanding of destination transfer operations and service delivery challenges.
