Area Credit Manager - Vijayawada

Job Summary:**

The Area Credit Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing all credit operations within the Vijayawada area, ensuring efficient credit assessment, risk mitigation, and timely collections to support business growth and maintain a healthy portfolio.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Lead and manage the credit team in Vijayawada, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
* Develop and implement credit policies, procedures, and strategies in line with company objectives and regulatory guidelines.
* Conduct thorough credit appraisals and risk assessments for new and existing customers, analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and market conditions.
* Approve or recommend credit limits, terms, and conditions based on established credit policies and risk appetite.
* Monitor portfolio quality, identify potential risks, and implement proactive measures to mitigate losses.
* Oversee collection efforts, working closely with the sales and recovery teams to ensure timely repayment of outstanding dues.
* Liaise with legal and recovery agencies when necessary to manage delinquent accounts.
* Prepare and present credit reports, performance analysis, and forecasts to senior management.
* Ensure compliance with all internal policies, external regulations, and audit requirements.
* Stay updated on industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes affecting credit risk.

Job Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CA, CFA) preferred.
* Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in credit management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
* Proven track record of managing a credit portfolio and achieving collection targets.
* Strong understanding of financial analysis, credit scoring models, and risk assessment techniques.
* In-depth knowledge of local lending regulations and credit laws.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform under pressure.
* Fluency in English and Telugu is essential.
