Post-Acute and Long-Term Care (PALTC) continuum. We partner with Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs), Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals (LTACHs), and other post-acute providers to deliver exceptional patient care through innovative clinical programs and outstanding operational support.

We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-driven Area Director to oversee the development, implementation, and operational success of our consultative service programs across multiple facilities and geographic regions.

Position Summary

The Area Director serves as a senior operational leader responsible for the strategic oversight, growth, and performance of MedCap Health's consultative services. This position partners closely with executive leadership, physicians, facility administrators, and clinical teams to ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, provider engagement, and exceptional service delivery.

The ideal candidate is an experienced healthcare operations leader with a strong background in post-acute care, multi-site management, provider operations, and program development.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Lead the design, implementation, and expansion of consultative service programs across multiple markets.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and physician specialists to establish strategic growth initiatives.
  • Align operational objectives with organizational goals, quality outcomes, valuebased care initiatives, and regulatory requirements.
  • Represent MedCap Health in executive meetings, operational reviews, and interdisciplinary leadership forums.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee daily operations across multiple facilities and states.
  • Develop productivity standards, capacity planning strategies, and operational performance metrics.
  • Coordinate provider scheduling, consult distribution, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure successful implementation of new service lines and operational initiatives.

Workforce Development

  • Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain high-performing providers and operational staff.
  • Create structured onboarding programs and competency assessments.
  • Mentor team members and promote continuous professional development.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance culture.

Provider & Facility Partnerships

  • Serve as the primary liaison between providers, facility leadership, and MedCap executive leadership.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with administrators, interdisciplinary teams, and physician partners.
  • Support seamless integration of clinical services across partner facilities.

Compliance & Quality

  • Partner with Operations, Compliance, Credentialing, and Clinical Leadership to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to CMS regulations, state requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Monitor operational performance, quality metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of healthcare leadership experience in operations, provider management, or multi-site program oversight.
  • Demonstrated success leading operational initiatives and managing provider teams.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare operations, regulatory compliance, and CMS requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to travel approximately 20%.

Preferred

  • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), or a related field.
  • Experience working within Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs), Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals (LTACHs), or Post-Acute and Long-Term Care (PALTC) settings.
  • Experience with value-based care initiatives and quality performance metrics.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHRs), operational dashboards, scheduling platforms, and care coordination technology.
