Area Manager
Area Manager — North Texas E.Q.U.I.P. Enterprises
Are you the kind of leader who takes full ownership of an operation — the people, the budgets, the customer relationships, the results? You don't need to be micromanaged? You need a mission worth your effort and the authority to execute it?
E.Q.U.I.P. Enterprises is looking for an Area Manager to oversee a portfolio of federal and state government contracts across multiple sites throughout North Texas. You'll be on the road each week — visiting your sites, leading your teams, and ensuring every location runs the way it should. We provide the vehicle and gas card. You bring the leadership.
The Mission
E.Q.U.I.P. Enterprises is a social enterprise that provides facility management services through the WorksWonders programs. We exist to create meaningful employment, job skills training, and real career pathways for disabled veterans and people with disabilities.
This isn't a tagline. It's the reason we operate. The Area Manager role is where mission meets execution — and we need someone who takes both seriously.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Reporting to the Field Operations Director, you will have direct accountability for:
Operations & Contract Performance You own the full scope of work across your assigned contracts — deliverables, timelines, quality standards, and compliance. You'll conduct regular site visits throughout North Texas, perform quality inspections, and ensure every location meets or exceeds contract specifications. When problems arise, you make the call and resolve them.
People Leadership You'll lead, develop, and hold accountable a team of Project Managers, Supervisors, Crew Leads, and frontline personnel. This means coaching, mentoring, training, managing employee relations, and making the difficult personnel decisions when needed. You set the standard your people rise to.
Financial Stewardship You manage P&L for your portfolio. You operate within budget, practice disciplined supply management, conduct daily, weekly, and monthly fiscal audits, and take corrective action when you identify negative trends. You don't wait to be told there's a problem — you find it first.
Customer Relationships You are the primary point of contact for your customers. You build trust through consistent, reliable service delivery. You increase service standards, resolve escalations, and ensure your customers know they're in capable hands.
Growth You identify opportunities to expand within your territory and work to grow revenue across your locations. You think like an owner, not just an operator.
Reporting & Communication You deliver clear, accurate daily, weekly, and quarterly reports that give senior leadership full visibility into how your operation is performing — operationally and financially.
Safety & Compliance You champion occupational safety across every site and serve as an awareness ambassador for Safety and Loss Prevention. You protect the organization's assets and resources through proactive cost control and sound decision-making.
