Area Manager – Pump Service
Summary
We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead operational excellence within the financial services sector, specifically focusing on the maintenance and service of concrete line and boom pumps. In this pivotal role, the successful candidate will oversee comprehensive service operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality preventive and breakdown maintenance while driving service revenue through effective Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) management. This position is critical for maintaining equipment reliability, optimizing spares inventory, and resolving complex hydraulic issues, thereby safeguarding client satisfaction and operational continuity.
Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate all service operations, including the execution of preventive maintenance schedules and rapid response to breakdown scenarios.
- Manage the full lifecycle of service contracts, focusing on maximizing revenue generation from AMCs and ensuring strict adherence to safety compliance protocols.
- Oversee the procurement, tracking, and optimization of spare parts inventory to minimize downtime and control costs.
- Conduct in-depth root cause analysis for equipment failures to implement long-term corrective actions and improve overall machine reliability.
- Utilize Service CRM and MIS tools to monitor performance metrics, generate reports, and drive data-informed decision-making.
- Provide expert technical troubleshooting for hydraulic systems and complex pump mechanisms, ensuring high standards of repair and maintenance.
- Act as the primary point of contact for resolving customer escalations, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring service quality meets expectations.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10+ years of hands-on experience in the field of pump servicing, with a specific focus on concrete line and boom pumps.
- Proven expertise in executing preventive and breakdown maintenance strategies for heavy industrial machinery.
- Strong proficiency in managing Service CRM systems, generating MIS reports, and analyzing service data.
- Deep understanding of safety compliance regulations and the ability to enforce them across all service activities.
- Skilled in spares management, including inventory control, procurement, and cost optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) and contribute to service revenue growth.
- Advanced capability in performing root cause analysis and hydraulic troubleshooting.
- Excellent leadership skills in managing service operations and effectively handling customer escalations.
