Area Representative (Vendor Operations)

Job Description
Reporting to the Manager (Operations), this position requires a highly energetic individual to deal with the operations, marketing and distribution aspects of newspapers and magazines. You are required to manage a newspaper distribution sector (or area).
Your main scope of work requires you to manage readers' expectations & services. In addition, you will have a set of news agents and newsstand outlets under your care.
The challenge for you on a daily basis includes conducting field surveys for newspapers on subscription penetration, outlet sales, competitors' activities, market information and intelligence (including traffic surveys), identify and source for new sales points.
Within your assigned territory, you are required to stay abreast with new housing developments and assist the news agents in managing their readers' database.
Job Requirements
· Diploma holder, preferably with 2 years of working experience
. Digitally savvy
. Understanding of how to manage and promote Tamil publications
· A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Possess own vehicle / driving licence
· Experience in retail operations and/or franchise management would be an advantage
