Area Sales Manager - North India

About the Role

We are looking for a Field Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be accountable for meeting or exceeding the sales forecast, running a profitable territory business. You will actively pursue profitable sales opportunities, promote a range of products to Peripheral and Surgical physicians. You are also required to call on nursing staff, purchasing and supply managers in the designated territory. Our Peripheral and Surgical business has an exciting and wide-ranging portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain ongoing high levels of services to all customers as per company
    philosophy and in cooperation with Customer Service Personnel
  • Maintain level of knowledge in appropriate areas including competitive and clinical
    information
  • Maintain and update key account profiles on customers, reviewing information on
    a constant basis and complete call records as necessary and providing copies to
    the Sales Leader
  • Assist with the preparation of yearly budget and expense projections as required
  • Able to work under pressure and within tight timeframes
  • Able to build and maintain effective relationships, with a flexible approach to
    achieving mutual goals and ability to instruct and influence others, in diverse
    environments
  • Have commitment and a strong sense of responsibility measured by the individual’s
    capacity to meet deadlines
  • Have empathy with internal and external sales, marketing and technical teams
  • Able to deal across all levels of the industry from Nurses to Surgeons
  • Dedicate and demonstrate commitment to excellent customer

Required Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Science, Biomedical Science, Nursing, Radiography will be
    added advantages
  • Proven sales background, preferably with a minimum of three years in medical and
    surgical device sales
  • Strong history of driving sales on territory, clear examples of “cause and effect”
  • Will have worked in or able to demonstrate an understanding of the imperatives of a
    business environment
  • Clinical background in the Operating Theatre/Cath Lab areas or sales experience to
    this environment
  • Product experience in the use of the Endovascular devices and knowledge of the
    procedures.
  • Computer skills relative to common software applications including word processing,
    spreadsheet and presentation computer skills
  • Understanding of surgical/medical procedures and terminology
  • Ability to absorb and impart technical information
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

Desired Qualifications

  • Additional qualifications in Operating Theatre/Cath Lab
  • Working along with Distributors, regular review meeting monitoring their daily sales,
    monitoring stocks inventory
  • Strong experience in providing ongoing high levels of services to all customers as per
    our company philosophy and in cooperation with our marketing, product specialist and
    operations teams
