Area Sales Manager - PNW (Portland, OR)
Description
Area Sales Manager
Patients and physicians judge aesthetic technology by results they can see and trust. This role owns a territory where adoption depends on clinical credibility, disciplined account management, and a clear path from first conversation to sustained use. You will turn a focused device portfolio into measurable practice growth—and be accountable for the revenue, relationships, and reputation that follow.
Performance Objectives
- Build and hit an annual territory plan that grows revenue, procedure volume, and active accounts against agreed targets.
- Open and convert priority aesthetic practices by leading evaluations that prove clinical fit, workflow, and return on investment.
- Raise utilization in existing accounts through training, in-service support, and quarterly business reviews tied to procedure goals.
- Forecast accurately each month so leadership can plan inventory, clinical support, and hiring with confidence.
- Protect the brand in the field by representing indications, evidence, and compliance without overstatement.
- Build a repeatable referral and KOL network that shortens sales cycles and improves win rate.
Environment & Resources
You will own a defined geography and report to sales leadership, partnering with clinical education, marketing, and customer support. Expect a lean early-stage medical device setting: direct access to product and clinical teams, a CRM and forecasting cadence, sample and evaluation protocols, and a travel budget sized to cover priority accounts. Success is measured on territory results, not activity volume.
Essential Qualifications
- Proven quota attainment selling capital or procedure-based products to aesthetic, dermatology, or plastic surgery practices.
- A track record of launching or expanding physician adoption, including evaluations, training, and post-sale utilization.
- Fluency with clinical evidence, compliant claims, and the economics of a physician practice.
- Territory planning, forecasting, and CRM discipline that holds up under review.
- Willingness to travel regularly and to be the accountable face of the product in the field.
Role Selling Points
- Own outcomes, not a script: territory strategy, account selection, and the close are yours.
- Sell where clinical results and practice economics both matter.
- Work close to product, clinical, and marketing teams instead of through layers.
- Shape how a growing device business sells, trains, and supports physicians.
