Area Sales Manager

Job Responsibilities

Manage vivo’s open-channel sales operations within the assigned territory.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, dealers and other channel partners.
Identify new business opportunities and expand the company’s retail and dealer network.
Achieve assigned sales targets, including sell-in, sell-out and product-mix objectives.
Monitor stock levels, product availability, pricing and sales performance across assigned accounts.
Plan and execute product launches, sales campaigns, promotions and retail activation activities.
Ensure proper in-store execution, including product displays, promotional materials, demo units and brand visibility.
Work closely with promoters and retail partners to improve sales performance and customer experience.
Analyse market trends, competitor activities and channel performance, and provide regular reports to management.
Coordinate with the marketing, operations, finance and logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment and business operations.
Follow up on account documentation, payment status and other commercial matters where required.
Perform other duties assigned by management.

Job Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or a related discipline.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in channel sales, retail sales or business development.
Experience in the smartphone, consumer electronics, telecommunications or FMCG industry would be an advantage.
Strong understanding of open-channel distribution and retail operations.
Proven ability to achieve sales targets and develop business relationships.
Good communication, negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently and travel regularly to assigned retail outlets and dealer locations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Possession of a valid driving licence would be an advantage.
