Area Vice President Financial Services

You will lead a financial services sales organization, setting its strategy and translating priorities into consistent execution. You will grow new and existing customer relationships, recruit and develop sales leaders, manage forecasts and sales metrics, and partner cross-functionally to improve customer outcomes and revenue growth.

Responsibilities

• Establish and deliver a strategy to win new customers, expand existing accounts, and drive long-term growth.
• Drive customer success and predictable year-over-year annual recurring revenue growth.
• Recruit, develop, and retain Regional Sales Directors and Strategic Account Executives.
• Build and maintain key customer relationships and expand the financial services customer base.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts, manage the sales process, and set sales funnel metrics.
• Lead strategic and operational execution across the sales organization.
• Partner with Marketing, Channel, Alliances, Product, Engineering, and other functions to support customer outcomes and growth.

Requirements

• Progressive second-line leadership experience leading strategic sales teams.
• Success recruiting, hiring, developing, and retaining leaders and individual contributors in an enterprise sales organization.
• Experience selling into core financial services markets.
• Consistent overachievement against an annual quota.
• Progressive software sales experience, preferably with development tools or open source software.
• Experience working with channel partners and cross-functional peers to support growth.
• Ability to communicate and present clearly to varied audiences.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, manage an ambitious workload, and learn and use GitLab.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Ability to travel as needed in line with GitLab's travel policy.
