Armed Security Guard

Position Overview

Sentry Force Security is seeking professional, dependable, and customer-service-oriented Security Officers to provide security services at a State Registration Office. Officers will help maintain a safe, secure, and orderly environment for employees, visitors, and members of the public.

This position requires strong communication skills, professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to remain alert while working in a public-facing government office environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the facility and maintain a safe, secure environment.

• Control access to designated areas and monitor visitor activity.

• Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security concerns.

• Conduct security patrols and perform assigned security checks.

• Assist visitors with directions and provide professional customer service.

• Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and disturbances.

• Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.

• Follow all post orders, company policies, and site-specific procedures.

• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Virginia DCJS Security Officer registration or meet applicable licensing requirements for the position.

• Must be able to pass the required background screening.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills.

• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.

• Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the assigned shift.

• Previous security or customer service experience preferred.

Work Environment

This position is located in a public-facing state registration office. Officers must be comfortable interacting with the public while maintaining professionalism, enforcing site procedures, and protecting the facility.
