Armed Security Officer
The Armed Security Officer will provide security responses at Covenant facilities. They are responsible for ensuring that all incidents are handled in a professional and expedited manner. Incidents may include medical emergencies and workplace violence.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the protection and safeguarding of CLG assets, personnel, and visitors.
- Perform foot and vehicle patrols of all CLG property in Chattanooga, TN.
- Primary deterrent to preventing incidents of workplace violence.
- Responsible for responding to incidents of workplace violence, medical emergencies, and/or incidents that involve company assets on campus.
- Manage the handling of emergency personnel on company property.
- Responsible for documenting incidents in a detailed way.
- Investigate incidents that put the company, its personnel, or it’s property at risk.
- Provide first aid to employees, vendors, or visitors who need assistance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of security operations and medical emergency responses in a business environment.
- Knowledge of enforcement procedures.
- Understanding of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to pass quarterly company mandated firearms proficiency test.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge and proficiency with firearms.
Education/Experience
- High school diploma required.
- 3+ years’ experience in military, law enforcement, or armed security required.
- CPR/First Aid Certifications, or able to obtain required.
- Has or can obtain a Tennessee Armed Security License and Concealed Carry Permit required.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.

The posted range reflects the full pay band for the position. The expected pay range below represents where most candidates are hired, based on experience, skills, and internal equity. Candidates with more extensive or highly relevant experience may be considered toward the higher end of the overall pay band.
- Expected Pay Range: $17.00-$19.33
- Full Pay Range: $17.00-$26.67
- Pay Grade: 5
