Arcetyp LLC is looking for a full-time Army Human Resources Specialist to provide on-site administrative human resources, military personnel, pay, records, finance, travel, and customer support services for the U.S. Army Student Detachment (USASD) at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. Work is performed on-site at USASD, Fort Jackson, South Carolina in Government-furnished facilities. Normal operating hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with required core business coverage between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., excluding Federal holidays and Government facility closures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Conduct Soldier in-processing and out-processing, including digital records reviews, preparation of processing packets, verification of assignment orders, and updating personnel tracking information.
• Prepare and process personnel actions in the Integrated Personnel and Pay System-Army (IPPS-A), including promotions, awards, reassignments, leave requests, separations, personnel accounting, and strength-management actions.
• Process military pay entitlements, allowances, special pay actions and deductions, including initiating, adjusting, and stopping approved pay and allowance transactions.
• Maintain Soldier official personnel records and upload required documents into the Interactive Personnel Electronic Records Management System (iPERMS).
• Operate Army and DoD financial-management systems used to process Soldier financial actions.
• Use Army HR systems to maintain Soldier information, track administrative actions, and ensure actions comply with applicable policies and procedures.
• Provide help-desk/customer support to USASD's geographically dispersed student population through email, Microsoft Teams, and telephone.
• Process and monitor official travel requirements using the Defense Travel System (DTS) and Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATTRS), including preparation of travel authorizations and assistance with vouchers.
• Research and resolve personnel, pay, records, travel, and administrative issues.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation and meet required processing timelines and quality standards.
• Complete required Government training and maintain required system access.
• Support quality control, workload reporting, and other administrative requirements associated with contract performance.
Minimum Qualifications
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience performing administrative support functions.
• Technical aptitude and computer literacy.
• Experience managing, coordinating, and controlling execution of assigned projects or activities.
• Ability to quickly learn, adapt to, and manage database systems.
• Demonstrated proficiency with standard office software and enterprise databases.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain regulatory and document compliance.
Desired Experience/Qualifications
• Previous U.S. Army military personnel or Human Resources experience.
• Experience supporting Army Soldiers, military personnel offices, S-1 organizations, or similar DoD HR environments.
• Experience with IPPS-A.
• Experience with iPERMS.
• Experience processing military personnel actions, orders, promotions, awards, reassignment, leave, and separation actions.
• Knowledge of military pay and entitlements.
• Experience with DTS and military travel processing.
• Familiarity with ATTRS.
• Experience with Army/DoD finance applications and workflows.
• Experience providing customer-service or help-desk support to a geographically dispersed customer population.
• Familiarity with systems identified by the PWS, including DJMS, CMS, SmartVoucher, CEDEMS, DMO, MMPA, and CITIBANK Commercial Card systems.
Security and Background Requirements
Personnel must satisfy applicable Government security and suitability requirements and complete the required security investigative documentation.
Min. Citizenship Status Required: U.S Citizenship and must be meet suitability screening for working in a federal government environment, must pass a background check.
