Role Summary

Whitestone Gallery Singapore is seeking an enthusiastic, outgoing, and creative Art Advisor to join our team. This role combines art advisory, sales, exhibition planning, and gallery operations, providing the opportunity to work closely with artists, collectors, curators, and cultural partners.

The ideal candidate is passionate about contemporary art, enjoys building meaningful relationships with people, and has a strong eye for visual presentation. Beyond client engagement, you will play an active role in exhibition planning, curatorial research, exhibition design, and gallery programming.

Key Responsibilities

Art Advisory & Sales

* Build and maintain relationships with collectors, corporate clients, and gallery visitors.

* Present artworks confidently and provide professional art advisory services.

* Manage sales enquiries and guide clients throughout the artwork acquisition process.

* Prepare quotations, sales documentation, and follow up on client enquiries.

* Maintain an organized client database and support client relationship management.

Exhibition Planning & Curation

* Assist in developing exhibition concepts and curatorial research.

* Support artwork selection, exhibition planning, and installation preparation.

* Prepare exhibition materials including artwork labels, exhibition texts, and supporting documentation.

* Coordinate artwork logistics and installation schedules with artists and vendors.

Exhibition Design

* Support spatial planning and visitor experience design for exhibitions.

* Work closely with the team to ensure exhibitions are professionally installed and visually engaging.

Gallery Operations & Public Programmes

* Conduct gallery tours and assist with private viewings and VIP appointments.

* Support exhibition openings, artist talks, educational programmes, and special events.

* Ensure gallery spaces remain well-presented and maintained at all times.

* Assist with local and international art fairs when required.

Marketing & Administrative Support

* Assist in preparing sales presentations, proposals, and exhibition materials.

* Support content creation for exhibitions and marketing initiatives.

* Undertake general gallery administration and project coordination as required.

Requirements

* Diploma or Degree in Fine Arts, Arts Management, Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Marketing, or a related discipline.

* 1–5 years of experience in galleries, museums, luxury retail, hospitality, events, or client-facing roles.

* Passion for contemporary art and an interest in the global art market.

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a warm and confident personality.

* Outgoing, proactive, and comfortable engaging with people from diverse backgrounds.

* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

* Responsible, adaptable, and willing to learn.

* Comfortable working weekends, exhibition openings, and special events when required.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in exhibition planning, curatorial work, or gallery operations.

* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and SketchUp will be an advantage.

* Strong visual presentation skills with an eye for exhibition design and spatial planning.

* Experience in preparing presentations, marketing materials, or exhibition graphics.

* Knowledge of contemporary art and the international art market.

* Proficiency in Mandarin, Japanese, or other languages will be an advantage.
