Description

Parallel is a brand agency helping organizations build stronger brands through strategy, identity design, digital experiences, and marketing. We’re looking for an Art Director/Designer to create polished, delivery-ready creative assets that support campaigns, brand initiatives, and client objectives across digital, social, print, and presentation materials.

This is a full-time, in-office role based in San Antonio, Texas.

This role combines strong design execution skills with attention to detail, production knowledge, and close collaboration with creative, account, and strategy teams to deliver effective, on-brand work in a fast-paced agency environment.

We’re also looking for someone who brings a collaborative, adaptable mindset, someone who is organized, communicative, and eager to translate strategic direction and creative concepts into polished visual work that supports client goals.

You’ll be working from our vibrant, newly renovated downtown office located in the former SA Current building, which features two floors filled with natural light, a brand-new kitchen, updated bathrooms, a spacious conference room, and areas dedicated to both collaboration and quiet focus. Surrounded by the historic charm and creative energy of the area, it’s the perfect setting for inspiration and team development. Your work will help contribute to the agency’s overall success, creating an environment where both you and the team can thrive.

What You'll Do

  • Design and produce creative assets across multiple channels, including digital, social, print, and presentation materials
  • Translate creative briefs, brand guidelines, campaign concepts, and strategic direction into visually compelling deliverables
  • Ensure all work is accurate, on-brand, and aligned with quality, production, and brand standards
  • Prepare final files for production or deployment, ensuring proper formatting, specifications, and quality control
  • Manage versioning, organization, and delivery of design files and creative assets
  • Support the development of templates and reusable assets to improve efficiency and consistency
  • Collaborate closely with creative, account, and strategy teams to understand project requirements and deliver effective work
  • Participate in internal reviews, incorporate feedback, and refine designs based on team and client input
  • Communicate clearly on timelines, progress, questions, and any challenges that may impact delivery
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously while accurately tracking time and progress within project management systems
  • Proactively identify and flag potential delays, issues, or opportunities to improve the final deliverable
  • Stay current with design trends, tools, and best practices while contributing ideas that enhance creative output and improve team workflows

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–4 years of professional design experience, preferably in an agency or in-house creative team
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating polished executional design skills across digital and print deliverables
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Extensis, and Figma
  • Strong ability to produce high-quality visual assets that are accurate, consistent, and aligned with brand guidelines
  • Understanding of production requirements for both digital and print deliverables
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative working style with the ability to receive feedback and refine work accordingly
  • Adaptability and flexibility when responding to shifting priorities, timelines, and project needs

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with basic animation
  • Agency or fast-paced creative environment experience
  • Experience supporting templates, reusable assets, or brand system maintenance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred. Portfolio/work samples required.
