This position is located in the Resident Services Directorate, Leisure & Wellness, Recreational Activities Division, at the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Washington, D.C. The mission of AFRH is to fulfill our nation's commitment to its veterans by providing a premier retirement community with exceptional residential care and extensive support services.

As an Art Specialist, you will: Oversee all activities in the Ceramics Studio, Woodshop, Multi-craft rooms, Art Colony, Sewing Room. Teach a variety of classes to the Independent Living, Independent Living Plus, Assisted Living residents, and Long-Term Care residents outside of the Ceramics Studio. Conduct weekly safety inspections of all areas of responsibility. Plan field trips with residents to a facility/fair as requested by residents to purchase supplies as needed.
