About the role

EVOLEO Technologies is looking for an Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineer to join the Software team and develop data- and artificial intelligence-driven solutions across internal and engineering applications.The initial focus of the role will be EVOgo, our internal platform, progressively taking ownership of AI- and data-related development and subsequently extending these capabilities to other software and engineering projects.

What you will do

• Develop AI- and data-driven features for EVOgo and other internal solutions
• Build data pipelines, integrations, and automation workflows
• Develop and integrate machine learning or generative AI capabilities where they deliver real value
• Structure, process, and analyse data from various internal sources
• Develop APIs, services, and backend components supporting AI and data features
• Evaluate models, tools, and architectures in line with security, performance, and maintainability requirements
• Work with the Software team to integrate AI capabilities into existing products and applications
• Document solutions, data flows, and technical decisions
• Support the monitoring, testing, and continuous improvement of deployed solutions
• Identify new opportunities for the application of AI and data across EVOLEO's teams and processes

What we are looking for

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
• Professional experience or relevant project experience in software development, data engineering, or AI
• Strong programming skills, preferably in Python
• Experience with APIs, databases, and data processing
• Knowledge of machine learning, generative AI, or modern AI tools
• Ability to translate business needs into practical technical solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good proficiency in technical English
• Autonomy, curiosity, and the ability to collaborate with different teams

What we value

• Experience with LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, or AI agents
• Experience with cloud platforms and containerised applications
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with data visualisation or analytics platforms
• Knowledge of MLOps, model monitoring, or AI governance practices
• Experience in developing internal tools, workflow automation, or enterprise applications
