Senior Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Engineer (AIML3)
Wyetech is seeking an experienced Senior Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Engineer (AIML3) to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable AI/ML solutions supporting mission-critical operations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience implementing machine learning algorithms, developing advanced analytical models, and transitioning AI/ML prototypes into production-ready solutions.
This position focuses on designing intelligent systems, optimizing model performance, and integrating AI/ML technologies into enterprise environments to meet complex customer requirements.
Required Skills/Experience:
Extensive experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying machine learning algorithms and AI-driven solutions.
Demonstrated experience deploying machine learning algorithms into operational environments.
Strong understanding of machine learning model architectures, data pipelines, statistical analysis, and performance metrics.
Experience training, retraining, evaluating, and optimizing machine learning models using iterative feedback.
Proficiency with machine learning libraries, frameworks, and analytical tools.
Experience applying software engineering principles, data modeling, and data structures to scalable AI/ML solutions.
Experience conducting model testing, verification, validation, and performance evaluations.
Understanding of data engineering, data governance, infrastructure management, and application development.
Experience integrating AI/ML models into enterprise systems and cloud-based architectures.
Ability to collaborate with technical stakeholders, lead development efforts, and communicate analytical findings effectively.
Desirable Skills:
Advanced proficiency in multiple programming languages, such as Python, Java, C, or R.
Experience leading geographically distributed technical teams.
Experience serving as a technical point of contact for AI/ML development and integration efforts.
The AI/ML Engineer designs, creates, tests, and productizes machine learning algorithms to solve complex operational challenges. The engineer develops models capable of learning and generating predictions based on customer requirements, integrates analytical capabilities with enterprise systems, and ensures scalable performance through continuous testing, monitoring, and optimization.
Responsibilities and Capabilities:
Select appropriate datasets, perform statistical analysis, and develop machine learning algorithms aligned with customer requirements.
Research, evaluate, and implement AI/ML algorithms, frameworks, and tools to support advanced analytical capabilities.
Design and optimize model architectures, data representations, and knowledge representation techniques.
Train, retrain, monitor, and improve machine learning models using performance metrics and iterative feedback.
Evaluate data quality, model outputs, and changes in data distributions that may impact analytical performance.
Develop and execute AI/ML testing and evaluation procedures, including verification, validation, explainability, and resiliency assessments.
Convert data science prototypes into scalable, production-ready AI/ML solutions.
Design, evaluate, and deploy AI/ML models across commercial cloud-based architectures.
Provide system integration oversight and collaborate with software engineering teams to support deployment and operational performance.
Apply AI logic, semantics, ontologies, and knowledge representation principles to advanced machine learning solutions.
Expand existing AI/ML frameworks and libraries to improve functionality, scalability, and efficiency.
Support technical leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication of AI/ML development activities.
Qualifications:
Candidates must meet the following labor-category qualifications:
Experience: A minimum of ten (10) years of experience deploying machine learning algorithms.
Education: A Master's or Doctoral degree in Advanced Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, or Deep Learning from an accredited college or university.
Education Substitution: Seven (7) additional years of machine learning experience with a relevant bachelor's degree may be substituted for the master's degree requirement, resulting in seventeen (17) years of qualifying experience.
Demonstrated abilities in software engineering and AI/ML model testing and evaluation.
Security Clearance and Additional Requirements:
Required Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.
Polygraph Currency: Must have an in-scope polygraph within the past seven (7) years.
Citizenship: United States Citizenship required.

Hourly Pay Range: $95.81–$129.74
Hourly pay rates listed for this position serve as a general guideline and are not a guarantee of compensation. Compensation will vary dependent upon factors including but not limited to: Government contract rates; education; relevant prior work experience, knowledge, skills, and competencies; certifications; and geographic location. Hourly pay rates reflect the pre-benefit gross wage amounts.
