Develop, maintain, and support applications on the IBM AS/400 (iSeries) platform using RPGLE, SQLRPGLE, CLLE, COBOL/400, and DB2/400. Day-to-day work includes code enhancements, debugging, testing, production support, batch job scheduling, and performance tuning in Mysuru.
Role & responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and support applications on IBM AS/400 (iSeries) platform.
- Work on RPGLE, CLLE, SQLRPGLE, COBOL/400, and DB2/400 programming.
- Analyze business requirements and provide technical solutions.
Perform code enhancements, debugging, testing, and production support.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for applications and processes.
- Work on batch job scheduling, job monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Troubleshoot system/application issues and provide timely resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for application integration and deployment.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards. Support migration, modernization, and system upgrade activities when required.
Preferred candidate profile
- Experience with API integration and web services on AS400.
- Exposure to modernization projects and IBM upgrades
- Knowledge of Aldon, Turnover, or other change management tools.
- Experience in manufacturing, logistics, finance, or retail domain is an added advantage.
