Job Title: AS400 / RPG Developer – L3/L4

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced AS400 / RPG Developer with strong expertise in RPG, COBOL, CL, SQL, and IBM DB2 for i. The role will involve application support, debugging, performance optimization, job management, and AS400 system administration activities.

Key Responsibilities & Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in RPGLE, RPG IV, COBOL, CL, and SQL
• Good knowledge of AS400 libraries, objects, and file setup
• Experience with DB2 for i (AS400 DB2)
• User profile, security, and authority management
• Handle backup and recovery processes
• Debug application/system issues using STRDBG and job logs
• Perform performance tuning and system optimization
• Analyze system performance and identify bottlenecks
• Troubleshoot job failures and implement process improvements
• Experience with DevOps and Control-M
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Ideal Candidate:
6–12 years of experience in AS400/RPG development and production support, with strong troubleshooting, system performance, and batch/job management experience.
