AS400 Developer

Salary: RM 7,000 – RM 9,000 per month

About the role

AS400 Mainframe developer role running on AS400 to build the back-end system. Training will be provided on how to use ASSET-Build system, perform testing before release.

Key responsibilities

• Build the back-end system using AS400

• Perform testing before release

• Support user testing

• Ensure system can be deployed and help prepare documentation

• Make changes on code and prepare documentation using template

• Use JIRA to perform scrum activity

• Conduct scrum ceremony whenever needed to discuss progress and update JIRA every 2 weeks

• Analyse problems and find issues on source code using debugging skills

• Identify which part of system has problems and fix them

• Perform queries from database using SQL to search for records

About you

• 2-4 years hands-on work experience as Developer with AS400 (IBM System i) or RPG/RPG LE/CL from any industry

• Must know how to analyse problems and find issues on source code – debugging skill

• Ability to find out and fix problems

• Hands-on experience in queries from database using SQL

• Database (SQL / NoSQL) skills
