AS400 RPG Developer & L3 Production Support | Core Banking
Salary: RM 14,000 – RM 17,000 per month
We are looking for an experienced AS400 RPG Developer with L3 Production Support experience to join a leading banking technology environment in Kuala Lumpur.
This role will focus on L3 production support, application fixes, incident/problem management, root cause analysis and software enhancement for critical Core Banking applications.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
Provide L3 production support for Core Banking applications.
Analyse and resolve complex production incidents and problems.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes.
Review existing application code and perform unit testing.
Support the full software lifecycle including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and production support.
Work closely with business stakeholders to prioritise production issues and remediation activities.
Coordinate with third-party vendors and integration partners for application fixes and technical resolutions.
Maintain incident, problem and knowledge management processes.
Monitor and report on service, performance and quality metrics.
Identify opportunities for application optimisation and continuous improvement.
Provide technical guidance to junior developers/support team members.
Ensure delivery follows established SDLC / Agile and software delivery standards.
🔹 Requirements
6+ years of relevant IT / Banking Application experience.
Developer with strong hands-on experience with:
IBM AS400 / iSeries
RPG / RPGLE
COBOL
CL / CLLE
Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and/or Agile.
Solid experience in Production Support / Application Support / Service Management.
Experience handling L3 incidents, problem management and production fixes.
Experience with RCA, debugging, code review and unit testing.
Experience guiding or leading a small team / junior developers.
Banking application experience is strongly preferred.
Silverlake experience will be an added advantage.
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related discipline.
