ASC Nurse - OR Circulator (Part-time)

Midwest Eye Care is looking for a REGISTERED NURSE at our Surgery Center located at 4353 Dodge Street
Part-time, 28-30 hours per week, from 6am to 1pm, Monday through Thursday
NO WEEKENDS/HOLIDAYS or On Call
In this role YOU will:
- Will circulate in the Operating Room.
- Be responsible for the delivery of safe, effective and quality patient care.
- Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of patient; responds to emergency situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures and protocol.
- Communicate with other surgery center staff, anesthesia care provider and the surgeon to coordinate a safe and comfortable surgical experience. Participates in patient education.
- Responsible for ensuring that the patient understands their post-operative care requirements.
- Observing patient, recording significant incidents; takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient.

Outstanding candidates will have:

- Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program from college or technical school.
- RN with active license in NE or a multi-state compact RN license.
- Ability to obtain ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
Offered Candidates will need to do the following before first day:
- Successfully complete a background check which includes an education verification, and a license verification.
- Successfully complete drug, alcohol and nicotine testing.
