Asia AI-Ready Data Engineer

We are partnered with a global life insurer to build out the data capabilities supporting its regional AI Centre of Excellence and wider transformation across Asia. Reliable, well-governed data will underpin the development of machine learning, generative AI and agentic solutions across its businesses.

As an AI-Ready Data Engineer, you will work with regional data platform teams and AI delivery squads to create data products that support both experimentation and production. Working within AWS-hosted lakehouse and master data management environments, you will connect insurance data and redesigned business workflows with the requirements of modern AI applications.

• Build AWS-based data pipelines supporting priority AI use cases.
• Ingest and transform structured and unstructured data.
• Implement data-quality, metadata, lineage and access controls.
• Translate workflow requirements into fit-for-purpose data products.
• Establish ownership and refresh requirements with business and technical stakeholders.
• Develop reusable interfaces with source-system teams, solution designers and AI squads.

• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Hands-on experience developing data pipelines and integrating with AWS.
• Experience working with structured and unstructured data for analytics, AI or digital applications.
• Practical knowledge of data quality, metadata and lineage.
• Experience working with insurance data and processes is essential.

Preferred: Experience with insurance data models, lakehouse environments, insurance technology and a major Chinese cloud platform.

You will build data foundations that serve multiple AI initiatives, combining insurance-domain knowledge with engineering work that directly enables regional experimentation and production delivery.
