Asia Pacific Renewables and Advisory Engineering (RAE) Manager

Position Overview

The incumbent serves as a strategic business partner accountable for driving sustainable growth and operational excellence across the Region for the Renewables and Advisory Engineering Platform. This role combines strategic execution, cross-functional leadership, and hands-on business development to deliver on ambitious regional targets while ensuring service quality and financial performance.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Execution & Growth

Regional Growth Accountability

• Owns full accountability and responsibility for achieving Asia Pacific’s Regional growth targets, driving revenue expansion through strategic initiatives and market penetration.

• Strategy Implementation & Execution

Partners closely with the different Industry Area Leaders of Asia Pacific to translate Global strategy into actionable Regional/Area plans. Industry Area Leader maintains ownership of execution while the Regional RAE Leader provides strategic oversight and performance monitoring.

• Business Development Leadership

Actively leads sales efforts across the Asia Pacific Region in partnership with the Industry Area Leaders, with primary focus on identifying and converting growth opportunities to expand market presence and client base.

2. Operational Excellence & Service Delivery

• Regional Operations Coordination

Ensures seamless collaboration among Regional teams, optimizing coordination between Contracting Offices and Production (PROD) teams to deliver integrated, high-quality client solutions. The different BU RAE managers will be dotted line to Regional Asia Pacific RAE Leader.

• Service Quality & Innovation

Maintains accountability for service delivery excellence, conducting ongoing assessments to identify improvement opportunities, develop new service offerings, and implement Operational Excellence initiatives that enhance client value.

• RAE Playbook Implementation

Drives consistent adoption of the RAE Playbook across all Areas and countries, ensuring effective communication cascades and standardized execution of best practices throughout the Region.

3. Financial Stewardship & Planning

• Financial Performance Partnership

Collaborates closely with the Asia Pacific Industry P&L Leaders through monthly and quarterly financial reviews, providing strategic support and recommending corrective actions to ensure financial health and target achievement. (Note: P&L accountability remains with Industry P&L Leader)

• Workforce Planning & Execution

Holds accountability for executing the Regional Hiring Plan (developed jointly with Industry P&L Leader during budget cycles), ensuring Areas fulfill recruitment responsibilities to support growth objectives and operational capacity.

4. Sales Capability & Market Development

• Sales Leadership & Enablement

Works in close partnership with the RAE Global Sales Leader to identify high-potential growth segments, build local sales capabilities, and strengthen integration between sales and operational teams to accelerate business development.

• Global PROD Responsibility

Ensures that Centers of Excellence within the Region are properly utilized for Production towards other Contracting Offices in Regions (example, Iberia towards MCA, APA) without strong operational setup.

5. Leadership & People Development

• Develops and mentors Area Leaders and key talent within the Region to build organizational capability and succession strength

• Fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

6. Stakeholder Management

• Serves as primary Regional interface with Global leadership, Industry Leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders

• Represents Regional interests in strategic forums and contributes to Global initiative development

7. Performance Metrics

• Regional revenue/PROD growth vs. target

• OP/PROD target is met

• Service quality scores and client satisfaction metrics

• Hiring plan execution rate

• Sales pipeline development and conversion rates

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Energy Systems or related discipline.

• Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in renewable energy, engineering consulting or technical advisory.

• Strong knowledge and experience in solar, wind, BESS and/or renewable energy advisory and engineering services.

• Proven experience in Asia Pacific regional strategy, business development and commercial growth.

• Experience in financial performance, operational excellence and service delivery management.

• Proven ability to lead multi-country, cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.

• Strong client relationship, stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills.
