Asia Region SCM Team Leader

Position Summary

As the Asia Region SCM Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and optimizing end-to-end supply chain operations across the Asia region to support sustainable business growth and operational excellence.

You will drive forecasting accuracy, inventory optimization, logistics efficiency, and demand-supply balancing while strengthening collaboration among local subsidiaries, regional headquarters, production subsidiaries, and headquarters. The role requires strategic leadership to establish standardized SCM processes, improve operational visibility, and enhance supply chain resilience across diverse markets within the Asia region.

This position reports directly to the Regional CEO and works closely with subsidiary management, business divisions, manufacturing sites, and headquarters SCM organizations.

Job Description& Requirements

1. Supply Chain Strategy & Planning

▪ Develop and execute regional SCM strategies aligned with business objectives and growth plans across Asia.

▪ Establish mid-term and long-term supply chain roadmaps to improve operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

▪ Drive end-to-end supply chain excellence across demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, logistics, and fulfillment.

▪ Lead SCM transformation initiatives and digitalization projects to improve supply chain visibility and decision-making.

2. Demand &Supply Management

▪ Oversee regional sales forecasting and demand planning processes to ensure forecast accuracy and business alignment.

▪ Coordinate supply allocation and resource planning with headquarters and production subsidiaries.

▪ Manage demand-supply balancing and proactively identify risks impacting product availability.

▪ Develop contingency plans to mitigate supply disruptions and ensure business continuity.

3. Inventory Optimization

▪ Establish regional inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels while maintaining service levels.

▪ Monitor inventory health, aging stock, slow-moving inventory, and shortage risks across subsidiaries.

▪ Drive inventory turnover improvement initiatives and working capital optimization.

▪ Support subsidiaries in achieving inventory and supply chain KPIs.

4. Logistics &Distribution Management

▪ Standardize logistics and distribution processes across Asia subsidiaries.

▪ Monitor logistics costs, transportation performance, warehousing efficiency, and delivery lead times.

▪ Collaborate with logistics providers and internal stakeholders to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.

▪ Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and supply chain governance standards.

5. Regional Coordination & Business Support

▪ Act as the primary regional SCM control tower and coordinate supply chain activities among headquarters, factories, and subsidiaries.

▪ Support business divisions in product launch planning, promotion planning, and demand surge management.

▪ Manage cross-functional collaboration among Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product Management, and Operations teams.

▪ Provide supply chain insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.

6. SCM Capability Development

▪ Establish and standardize SCM governance, processes, and best practices throughout the region.

▪ Develop and implement SCM training programs to enhance subsidiary capabilities.

▪ Coach and mentor local SCM leaders and key talents to strengthen organizational capabilities.

▪ Foster a data-driven and continuous improvement culture across the regional SCM organization.

7. Risk Management& Operational Excellence

▪ Identify supply chain risks related to production, logistics, geopolitical factors, and market fluctuations.

▪ Develop risk mitigation strategies and crisis response mechanisms.

▪ Lead operational improvement projects to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.

▪ Monitor SCM performance through KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Education Level and/or relevant experience(s):

· Bachelor's degree or above in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Operations Management, or related disciplines.

· MBA or advanced degree preferred.

· Minimum 10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Planning, or related functions.

· Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in regional or multinational business environments preferred.

Knowledge and skills:

  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end supply chain management processes.
  • Proven experience in demand planning, inventory management, sales forecasting, and supply planning.
  • Strong understanding of international logistics, trade compliance, and distribution management.
  • Experience with ERP and supply chain systems (SAP preferred).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong financial understanding related to inventory, working capital, and operational costs.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
