Job Summary

Mallard Manufacturing, a MacLean-Fogg Company, is seeking an Assembler in Sterling, Illinois, to assemble product components, perform quality checks, and support safe, consistent manufacturing operations. You will use hand and power tools while following established manufacturing procedures and product specifications.

  • Location: Sterling, IL

  • Work Arrangement: On-site

  • Schedule: 1st Shift: 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday; 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday to Friday

  • Pay: $16.44-$17.02/hr

  • Employment Type: Full-time / Hourly

What You'll Do as an Assembler

  • Assemble product parts according to production guidelines and specifications.

  • Use hand tools and power tools to assemble units and components.

  • Perform spot checks on assembled parts to verify quality standards are met.

  • Identify and report issues involving product quality, equipment, or materials to your supervisor.

  • Follow established manufacturing procedures to complete assembly tasks.

  • Maintain an organized work area and properly store tools.

  • Follow all applicable safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to interpret work instructions and product specifications.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions.

  • Basic mathematical skills.

  • Ability to use production tools and perform assembly work requiring manual dexterity.

  • Ability to complete required documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role involves working in a manufacturing environment where employees regularly:

  • Stand for extended periods.

  • Lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

  • Push or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Bend and stoop frequently.

  • Use manual dexterity to handle small objects.

  • Work in noisy conditions.
