Assemblers - NEA N3 Licensed Laser Assembly
Summary
Assembles and calibrates high-power laser components like optical sub-assemblies and industrial laser heads using hand and power tools, following technical drawings and specifications.
- Assemble, align, calibrate, and test high-power (such as optical sub-assemblies, beam expanders, and industrial laser cutting/welding heads).
- Read shop drawings and wiring diagrams
- Read Bills of Materials (BOMs) to determine component parts and assembly sequences of
- electromechanical units
- Make electrical connections according to specifications
- Assemble parts, and position, align, and fasten assemblies, subassemblies, using hand
- tools and power tools.
- Modify parts by drilling, tapping, countersinking, etc. machine tools, power and pneumatic hand tools.
- Position, align, and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly.
- Measure parts to determine tolerances, using tape measures and precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
- Attach labels and mark identifying information on parts.
- Adhere to all company policies, guidelines and practices including the SECRIT values.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Tool selection — determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
- Oral Comprehension – The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
- Ability to operate cordless hand tools, power tools and pneumatic tools.
- Ability to read shop drawings and wiring diagrams preferred.
- Ability to read standard tape measure.
- Ability to work in a cohesive team environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- O Level/A Level/ ITE or High School Diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience in manufacturing preferred
