Horton, Inc. has an opening for a 1st shift Assembly Floater (Part-Time) to work in our Britton, SD location. This is a Part time, hourly position that is Monday-Wednesday and pay starts at $23.35 per hour.

Assembly Floater Position Summary:

Inspects components, sub assembles, assembles, paints, packages and transports units or subassemblies to staging or finished goods area.

Responsibilities

Assembly Floater Responsibilities:

  • Performs assembly functions in all areas as directed by manager. Assembles and packages accessory parts or other small units using new parts.
    • Assembles various units, kits, accessory parts, subassemblies, coils, hardware packets, valves, etc. as directed by manager.
    • Collects parts and prepares for assembly a sufficient quantity of each to complete the number of units specified by the production schedule.
    • Assembles required units/accessories, following standard assembly procedures and checking continuously for quality.
    • Performs quality checks on small units per standard procedures and specifications.
    • Check continuity of valve.
    • Reads and comprehends blueprints and assembly drawings.
  • Paints product
  • Packages and prepares units for shipment to customers.
  • Exhibits and performs basic personal computer functions in various software systems.
  • Reworks units which fail to pass quality control checks.
  • Provides training in work methods, procedures, and work instructions to employees and temporary workers.

Qualifications

Assembly Floater Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing experience is a plus.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States. This job is not eligible for sponsorship.
