Assembly Technician

Summary

Assembles precision components under microscope, follows documented procedures, and ensures quality before QA handoff while maintaining 5S and safety standards.

Job Description

  • Plan overall assembly task to ensure work order loaded is on schedule.
  • Planned and managed assembly B parts and jig & fixtures in storage.
  • Contribute to design discussion on jigs.
  • Ensure to follow defined assembly procedures and comply with quality requirements.
  • Able to perform hands on tasks under microscope.
  • To have ownership on assembly process to create guideline documents (WI) for New Product Introduction (NPI) parts.
  • Final check and approval of the whole assembly before sending it to the Quality Assurance (QA) Department.
  • Always ensure full adherence to 5S practices and apply workplace safety and health policy.

Requirements:

  • Nitec in any discipline or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in assembly operations and components.
  • Able to understand mechanical drawing.
  • Required knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOMs).
  • With knowledge of Microsoft Words and Excel.

  • Salary package up to $2,700 inclusive of overtime and allowances.
