Assembly Technician
Position Overview:
Mechanical assembly of aircraft interior products, work includes but not limited to sheet metal fabrication, and/or mechanical, electrical and pneumatic assembly by performing the following duties.
Essential Functions:
- Measures parts to determine specified tolerance
- Drills, taps, reams, countersinks, and spot faces bolt holes in parts
- Must be proficient in using most hand operated tools
- Follows written instructions, notes and dimensions on drawings
- Ability to follow the redline process for drawing errors
- Bolts, screws, and rivets parts together
- Disassembles and replaces parts as required
- Cleans and lubricates parts and assemblies
- Marks identifying information on parts
- Have a working knowledge of proper riveting techniques
- Proficient in modifying parts per the drawings i.e.: cut, drill, radius, etc.
- Able to identify required dash numbers in a drawing structure
- Perform soldering and crimping operations
- Tests functional performance of assembly
- Share knowledge and techniques to help others progress
