Salary: Competitive Rates - WFH Hybrid
- $750 – $896 per day
- ASAP start through to 31 March 2027; possible extension
- Milsons Point, Sydney — hybrid
- Hands-on Excel, SAP asset-data analysis, cleansing and reconciliation
- Work alongside a Technical Data Lead and operational SMEs within an established data structure
You will work with a Technical Data Lead and business SMEs to compare data extracts, investigate discrepancies, validate information and prepare accurate asset records for use in the system.
An asset hierarchy and data blueprint are already established. The focus is on building and improving the data within that structure, rather than designing a new data model.
This is a practical opportunity for someone who combines strong Excel analysis with an understanding of asset/master data and relevant SAP processes. It is not primarily a data-science or dashboard-development assignment.
Essential Experience
- Strong Excel capability for manipulating and comparing datasets, matching records, identifying missing or duplicate information and producing accurate summaries.
- Experience analysing asset registers, maintenance information or enterprise master data, with working knowledge of SAP-derived data and its business meaning.
- Hands-on data cleansing, validation, reconciliation and exception analysis, including investigating why records differ across sources.
- Ability to work with established asset structures, attributes, field definitions, templates and quality rules when preparing or checking new information.
- Working-level EAM and ALM knowledge appropriate to asset-data analysis. Please explain your Asset Lifecycle Management understanding and distinguish it from direct SAP Cloud ALM exposure.
- Clear communication and documentation skills, strong attention to detail, and relevant qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
- Transport, maritime or other heavy-asset industry experience would be advantageous.
- Additional relevant experience includes S/4HANA EAM/PM master data, SAP Fiori or reporting exports, maintenance systems, repeatable Excel-based analysis and business-intelligence reporting.
What You Will Do
- Work with SAP-related extracts, tables, reports and other source data to support asset-information analysis.
- Compare datasets and investigate missing values, duplicate records, inconsistent attributes and relationship issues.
- Apply agreed cleansing and validation rules, documenting exceptions that require an SME or technical decision.
- Prepare and check new asset information against the existing hierarchy, templates and data blueprint.
- Produce clear reports on data quality, reconciliation results, changes and progress.
- Support data-export and reporting activities in collaboration with the technical team.
- Maintain accurate analysis records and reusable methods, helping the team validate corrections and improve consistency.
Milsons Point is the primary office, with 50% onsite attendance. Travel to other offices, including Newcastle or Tugun, may be required on occasion.
Candidates must have appropriate Australian working rights and reside in NSW for the assignment.
