Asset Manager
Reporting to the Executive Director of Real Estate & Development, the Asset Manager participates in developing, updating and implementing Morongo Band of Mission Indians strategic asset management plan. The plan provides a systematic approach to ongoing oversight of the Morongo Band of Mission Indians real estate portfolio acting as “owner representative,” with involvement in all stages of real estate activities from pre-development through operations to ensure that the real estate assets achieve their goals in furtherance of organizational mission.
The Asset Manager is responsible for protecting and enhancing the operational and financial performance of the Tribe's real estate portfolio, including income-producing commercial properties, ground leases, space leases, development parcels, and vacant land assets. The position provides end-to-end lease administration, property oversight, financial analysis, tenant and vendor coordination, compliance monitoring, and support for acquisitions, dispositions, development initiatives, and capital improvements.
The position is characterized by a high degree of initiative, responsibility, accountability, a strong technical aptitude and ability to work effectively with individuals and organizations with a wide variety of interests, issues and concerns. This role works in close coordination with the Finance, Legal and Realty teams. The Asset Manager also collaborates on compliance and reporting efforts, including relationships with agencies, investors and lenders.
Education and/or Experience: BA degree with major in finance, business administration or related field required. Three (3) to five (5) years plus of combined experience in asset management, property development and management, lending, and/or real estate development highly preferred, with extensive exposure to analyzing real estate development pro-formas, and preparing and reviewing property operating budgets.
