Asset Operations Manager

Pay: $115,000.00 - $122,000.00 per year

Position Title: Asset Operations Manager
Constellation seeks an Asset Operations Manager to join our Homeland Security team in Washington, DC. This role will serve as a key liaison between organizational operations and field office logistics. The position combines data-driven process improvement with hands-on management of office facilities and government equipment. The Asset Operations Manager will ensure that staff across multiple field offices have the space, supplies, and tools needed to operate effectively while maintaining strong internal controls through digital tracking systems.

Key Responsibilities:
Facilities and Office Coordination:
  • Coordinating the use of office space, ensuring facilities meet staff needs (e.g., project management spaces, lockers, equipment, etc.).
  • Managing the procurement of office supplies for diverse field office locations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and availability.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for field office facility requirements and infrastructure projects
Asset and Property Management:
  • Ensuring strict internal control and accountability of personally issued government equipment across the entire organization.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of local property management, including inventory audits for government laptops, issuance to staff, new purchasing, and the excessing of equipment.
  • Maintaining real-time accuracy of all assets using a PowerApps tracker, ensuring data integrity for audit purposes.
  • Managing the end-to-end lifecycle of high-value IT assets, including the procurement, inventory, and secure issuance of laptops and mobile phones, while utilizing specialized tracking software and a PowerApps tracker to monitor software licensing and ensure 100% accountability of all assigned equipment.
  • Delivering expertise in modernizing tracking processes, improving data accuracy, and implementing structured inventory controls inventory effort into a high-visibility, strategically critical component of the agency’s mission.
Business Analysis and Process Improvement:
  • Analyzing operational workflows to identify inefficiencies in asset allocation.
  • Translating business needs into technical requirements for the enhancement of internal tracking tools.
  • Developing and maintain reports on equipment lifecycle, procurement trends, and space utilization.

The ideal candidate must have the following experience, background, and credentials:
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a Business Analyst and support role.
  • Capability to safely move equipment such as boxes, small furniture, and office devices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Power BI).
  • Bachelor’s or master's degree in business, Logistics Management, or a related field.
  • Be a U.S. citizen able to pass a background investigation by the client agency. DHS clearance with CBP or DoD Top-Secret preferred.
