Assisatant Construction Manager
Job Descriptions:
- Assist the Construction Manager and team in ensuring timely delivery of marine and port infrastructure projects.
- Act as a supporting liaison with clients and stakeholders, attending coordination meetings, preparing progress reports, and assisting in resolving technical issues.
- Support the planning and scheduling of works to align with project milestones and Commercial Operation Dates (COD).
- Assist in the planning and procurement of main and auxiliary materials to maintain continuous site operations.
- Coordinate site engineers’ daily activities and report on-site matters to the Construction Manager.
- Assist in supervising the construction of port roads, storage yards, and associated infrastructure, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Support communication with employers and clients regarding supplied materials and project requirements.
- Assist in developing, monitoring, and maintaining project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Help resolve technical or operational challenges during project execution to minimize delays.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and contractual obligations.
- Support budget management, cost tracking, and cost control measures.
- Assist in identifying and monitoring project risks.
Job Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree in Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies for marine and transportation structures.
Proficiency in project planning, scheduling, and resource management.
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in infrastructure or marine construction projects, with at least 2 years in a project management capacity.
Proven track record in managing projects from inception to completion, including budget control and contract administration.
Strong understanding of contract management, including FIDIC or other standard forms of contract.
Experience with public sector infrastructure projects is an advantage.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and BIM coordination.
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, RE, RTO) are preferred.
