Assistance Quality Assurance Engineer/Technician
Summary
Quality assurance engineer inspects metal and automotive parts, ensures ISO 9001 compliance, and resolves manufacturing issues through data analysis and corrective actions.
Responsibilities:
- Report to Head of Quality.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality Management System (QMS) to enhance process effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with Customers and Operations teams to ensure product manufacturing and servicing meet approved manufacturing requirements.
- Prepare and present quality performance metrics and reports to support data-driven decision-making.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve process-related issues.
- Analyze customer complaints and deliver timely, effective responses to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Conduct inspection of fabricated parts, assembly and acceptance test.
- Able to travel locally and oversea for work assignments.
- Carry out other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirement:
- ITC or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in both management of Quality Management Systems (QMS) within metalworking and automotive engineering and physical inspections of products.
- Proficient, working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards, interpretation of mechanical fabrication and GD&T requirements.
- Strong command of English, both oral and written, for Customer correspondence and report writing.
- Ability to work independently, collaboratively in a team environment and troubleshoot manufacturing quality issues on the ground from day one.
Preferred Competencies:
- Clear understanding of engineering risk assessment principles and methods.
- Knowledge of implementation and maintenance of ISO 22301.
- Certified ISO 9001 Internal Auditor.
- Class 3 diving licence.
