Assistant Accounts Manager

The Assistant Accounts Manager assists in the management of all finance and accounting activities relating to day-to-day operations, budgeting, financial and accounting policies, and exercises control over procurement matters.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day finance activities and ensure timely adherence to payment and receipt schedules
  • Formulate and review financial and accounting policies and guidelines to ensure effectiveness and efficacy of operations
  • Regulate internal controls and ensure compliance to regulatory standards
  • Consolidate information and prepare timely financial and accounting updates to Management
  • Manage the analysis and forecast of the Company’s financial performance
  • Plan and manage annual audits
  • Liaise with corporate secretary, bankers, tax agents and other related third parties to facilitate business activities
  • Manage business cash flows and ensure optimised working capital
  • Execute other ad-hoc financial and accounting duties and projects as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, ACCA, Finance, or an equivalent professional qualification
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in the retail industry, preferably within an F&B environment
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; solid experience in group consolidation is essential
  • Familiar with AI tools or open to learning and adopting them
  • Positive work attitude with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills
