Assistant Business Development Manager

Job Summary

Drives growth initiatives through strategic site assessment, market intelligence, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will have strong research capabilities, a commercial mindset, and experience in supporting the development of business cases and financial models. This role is critical in building a robust pipeline of opportunities and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and market trends.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Site Assessment and Market Research

· Conduct feasibility studies and due diligence on potential project sites.

· Assess demographic, economic, and geographic data to support site selection and strategy.

· Prepare site reports and recommendations for senior management.

2. Market Intelligence and Benchmarking

· Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.

· Perform benchmarking studies on pricing, business models, and operational performance.

· Provide insights and recommendations to guide business strategies.

3. Project Market Sounding and Financial Inputs

· Identify and engage with potential partners, investors, and stakeholders for project collaboration.

· Conduct market sounding exercises to test project concepts and commercial interest.

· Work closely with Finance teams to participate in financial modelling and business case development.

4. Stakeholder Relationship Management

· Develop and maintain relationships with key partners, government agencies, and industry players.

· Represent the company in relevant forums, events, and business meetings.

5. Pipeline Development and Management

· Identify new business opportunities aligned with company strategy.

· Maintain and update a pipeline tracker for ongoing and prospective projects.

· Support internal reporting and project tracking for senior management.
