Assistant Centre Manager

As an Assistant Centre Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our training centre and ensuring a high-quality learning experience for our adult learners.

You will supervise and guide the Student Services team, coordinate centre operations, support trainers and learners, and ensure that classes and administrative processes are carried out smoothly and in accordance with company standards.

This is a hands-on operational leadership role suited for someone who enjoys leading a team, engaging with people, solving problems and taking ownership of a fast-paced service environment.

Salary: $3,500 – $5,000
Work Week: 5 days, including weekends (rostered)
Locations: Tiong Bahru (Central Plaza) / Woodlands (Woods Square) / Paya Lebar (Lifelong Learning Institute)
Working Hours: 8:30am – 6:00pm / 9:30am – 7:00pm / 1:00pm – 10:00pm

Key Responsibilities

👥 Lead & Develop Your Team

  • Supervise, guide and support Student Services Executives in their daily operations.

  • Coordinate manpower deployment and responsibilities according to the training schedule.

  • Coach team members to improve service standards, operational competency and performance.

  • Support the onboarding and training of new team members.

  • Lead by example and step in to support frontline operations during busy periods.

🏢 Manage Centre Operations

  • Support the Centre Manager in overseeing the smooth day-to-day operations of the training centre.

  • Ensure classrooms, facilities, equipment, materials and operational requirements are ready for classes.

  • Coordinate with trainers and internal teams to resolve operational requirements quickly.

  • Conduct regular operational checks and ensure procedures and service standards are consistently followed.

  • Manage multiple classes and operational priorities in a fast-paced environment.

🌟 Deliver a Great Learner Experience

  • Ensure learners, trainers and corporate clients receive professional and timely support.

  • Handle escalated enquiries, feedback and service issues confidently and professionally.

  • Take ownership of service recovery and ensure proper follow-up until issues are resolved.

  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing and Operations to create a seamless learner journey.

📋 Ensure Quality & Compliance

  • Oversee course administration, including attendance, learner records, evaluations, certification support and documentation.

  • Ensure operational processes comply with company policies and applicable training requirements.

  • Identify operational gaps and recommend practical improvements.

  • Support the rollout of new systems, processes and operational initiatives.

  • Provide operational updates and escalate significant centre matters when required.

  • Take on other operational projects and responsibilities assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in customer service, education, training operations, hospitality, retail operations or a related service environment.

  • Prior experience in a supervisory, team lead or assistant manager capacity will be an advantage.

  • Experience in an education, training centre or adult learning environment will be an added advantage.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to guide and motivate a frontline operations team.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an excellent customer service orientation.

  • Able to handle escalated customer or learner concerns calmly, professionally and independently.

  • Strong organisational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple operational priorities simultaneously.

  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and comfortable working with CRM and other digital systems.

  • Meticulous and attentive to operational details, documentation and service standards.

  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with different teams and stakeholders.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and being hands-on with daily centre operations.

  • Able to work on weekends and shifts based on the centre's operational requirements.
