Assistant Chief Engineer - Sofitel Cairo Downtown Nile

• Overseeing the maintenance and repair planning to ensure the hotel building is safe and efficiently maintained.
• Ensuring safety, security, and compliance are maintained at the highest levels.
• Providing water, heat, lighting, and power for the entire hotel.
• Ensuring all safety rules and regulations are complied with and reporting progress to the Director of Engineering.
• Develops and implements administrative standards, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistency, safety, and prompt service to internal and external guests
• Assists in managing the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical and life safety systems.
• Recommends or arranges for additional services such as painting, repair work, renovations, and the replacement of furnishings and equipment.
• Supervises the day-to-day operations of Engineering and related departments.
• Ensures by spot checks that preventative maintenance program is followed as it is implemented
• Places orders for routine maintenance items
• Be a member of the Health and Safety program of the hotel and make sure rules, regulations, and policies are being followed by colleagues

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• +3 years' experience in maintenance Engineering into Hospitality industry
• Strong Leadership skills with previous experience of managing a team
• First Aid Certificate

experience is an asset
Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
Fluency in English
additional languages are a plus
