The Assistant Clinical Manager (ACM) is a Registered Nurse leadership role that supports Home Health & Hospice Clinical Managers and Directors in delivering safe, compliant, high-quality hospice care at the McClure Miller Respite House.

The ACM provides clinical oversight during assigned coverage (including weekends/holidays and off-hours as needed), supervises and schedules designated staff, coordinates care delivery and handoffs, and serves as a point of escalation for clinical and operational concerns.

The role partners closely with interdisciplinary and administrative teams to ensure continuity of care seven days a week and adherence to organizational policies and applicable regulations.

SCHEDULE:

  • Monday through Friday: 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM
  • One shift-equivalent of on-site weekend coverage per month at MMRH, in rotation with other managers

EDUCATION

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

  • Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice and BLS certification.

  • Hospice and Palliative Nursing certification (preferred) or willingness to obtain within 1 year.

EXPERIENCE

  • Three years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in Home Health and/or Hospice/Palliative care;

  • Two years progressive leadership/supervisory experience. Consideration may be given for a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired. Inpatient facility experience.

  • Demonstrate and apply working knowledge of hospice/home health regulations, standards of practice, and clinical workflows to promote compliance, efficiency, and high-quality outcomes;

  • Apply clinical judgement to balance patient needs, regulatory requirements and organizational policies in care planning and delivery.

  • Maintain productivity and quality of work while managing frequent interruptions and multiple concurrent responsibilities

  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills when interacting with staff, leadership, patients, and interdisciplinary partners.
