Position: Assistant Clinical Manager

Program: YRC Clinical/Youth Campus
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Description:
To provide high-quality supervision and counseling services to clients, staff and interns in the YRC clinical program. To assist in training interns and new staff as needed. To participate in and provide leadership, development and coordination of program services. To provide supervision for clinical interns and/or staff of the Clinical Division. To work cohesively with other Clinical APMs to coordinate clinical intern assignments, maintain consistency among child and family clinical work and documentation, etc. To assist the VP of Clinical Services and Senior Clinical Manager with administrative duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Provides direct face-to-face individual, group, or family counseling, including intake assessments, treatment planning, and follow-up care to children, youth, and adult clients of Synergy Services
  • Manages client contact and communication, professional networking, and consulting about treatment related issues.
  • Manages chart documentation and report writing, including treatment progress notations and treatment summary reports.
  • Participates in individual and peer clinical supervision. Attends individual meetings with clinical supervisor and group supervision.
  • Provides assistance and support to projects involving program evaluation and development, participation on staff committees, and community presentations.
  • Attends in-services, workshops, and conferences for continuing education to maintain credentials.
  • Provides case and crisis management and on-going clinical supervision to interns and staff in individual and group settings.
  • Participate in clinical leadership meetings on regular basis.
  • Participate in On-Call Support rotation.
  • Participation in Performance and Quality Improvement activity is required by each employee.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises interns and staff in the youth campus clinical department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include participation in interviewing, hiring, and training interns; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Master's degree (M. A./M.S.) and MO licensed, two or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior supervision of interns or other staff preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

The employee in this position must be licensed in their particular discipline. Must have a valid Drivers license.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must be at least 20 years of age, pass a background check that includes fingerprinting and a drug screen. The employee in this position must be able to use general office equipment, type, and use computer software, including Windows and Word for Windows.
