Assistant Construction Project Manager in New York

JCC Construction Corp. is an established union commercial construction company, located in Queens, NY. We specialize in utility and site work construction in the New York City area for the past 30 years. We are seeking to hire Construction Staff who are reliable, have keen attention to detail, and take initiative. The ideal candidate is dedicated and desires to grow alongside our company.

JCC Construction Corp. is seeking an intermediate level assistant project manager to work directly with and under our Management Team. Daily responsibilities include the following at the direction of a senior project manager:

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage the submittal process for assigned projects..
• Perform purchasing for assigned projects.
• Coordinate with field staff and submit requests for information
• Identify and prepare change orders for submission to clients
• Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs
• Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of CAD highly .
• Knowledge of Concrete Sidewalks and Utilities highly .
• Previous experience managing as an assistant project manager highly .
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

This is an entry level position with room for growth. Salary negotiable contingent on experience.
