Assistant Construction Project Manager
Summary
Supports the project management team in coordinating commercial kitchen installations for restaurants, hotels, schools, hospitals and other venues. Day to day involves maintaining floor plans and equipment specs, helping with design drawings and budgets, tracking schedules and change orders, and coordinating equipment deliveries and MEP trades at job sites in Melville, NY.
Overview:
Support the Project Management team in coordination of installations of commercial kitchens. Coordinate the change order process as needed. Ensure customer satisfaction by ensuring that the project is completed as planned and meets or exceeds the customer’s expectations.
Responsibilities:
Assist production and maintain all general floor plans and equipment specifications.
Assist in the production of conceptual design floor plans and budgets for client presentation and approvals.
Assist the development of Design Development drawings for all approved projects.
Assist in maintaining project schedules and communicate progress to internal and external customers.
Assist in progress and close out meetings.
Assist in Researching and troubleshooting issues pertaining to design or construction and provide alternate design criteria and or specifications.
Assist in Providing quality control for all projects.
Assist on overseeing deliveries and accountability of equipment onsite.
Assist on coordination of MEP trades onsite.
Scheduling deliveries of equipment.
Multitasking over multiple projects.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- College degree or comparable experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
This job will be performed within the company’s offices and at customers’ job sites. In the company’s offices, this is a normal office job that requires reading and word processing at a computer and occasional lifting, up to 25 pounds. Physical mobility will be required at the customers’ job sites, which range from relatively simple remodeling jobs to large construction projects within a restaurant, retail store, hotel, school, hospital, institution, or sports venue.
