Assistant Business Solution Manager / Senior Digital Business Analyst
Posted Updated
Description
Role Summary: The Assistant Manager supports the continued development and operation of Quest, an agent-facing, AI-powered platform that helps financial consultants prepare for customer conversations using approved product information, market context, news insights and sales content. Reporting to the Senior Manager and Product Owner, the role leads day-to-day business analysis and delivery across the prioritised Quest backlog. The incumbent translates user needs into implementable requirements, establishes quality expectations for AI-generated content, coordinates releases and uses product data to recommend improvements. This is an individual-contributor role with no direct reports. It is positioned above a Business Analyst through its cross-feature delivery accountability, release recommendations and guidance to junior analysts. Product strategy, investment decisions and final roadmap accountability remain with the Product Owner and senior governance forums. Responsibilities: Requirements: Translate agent and business needs into user journeys, process flows, functional requirements, Jira stories and acceptance criteria. AI-output quality: Define and evaluate standards for factual accuracy, source grounding, restricted topics, fallback responses and output consistency. Delivery coordination: Manage backlog execution across product, design, engineering, data and business teams, resolving dependencies and escalating material risks. Testing and release: Plan UAT and regression coverage, oversee defect prioritisation, consolidate testing evidence and make go/no-go recommendations. Product performance: Monitor adoption, feature usage, user feedback and release performance, turning findings into prioritised improvement proposals. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, computer science, engineering or a related discipline. 6+ years’ experience in business analysis, digital product delivery or technology-enabled transformation. At least 2 years’ experience coordinating end-to-end delivery within an Agile team, from requirements definition through production release. Experience in insurance or another regulated financial-services environment, preferably involving agent, adviser, sales or distribution journeys. Professional fluency in spoken Cantonese & English, with written Chinese & English. Behavioural Competencies: Curiosity & Adaptability: Curious to learn unfamiliar business, new technology and regulatory topics quickly and applies that knowledge to delivery. Judgement: Makes sound decisions under ambiguity and escalates matters at the appropriate time and level. Accountability: Follows decisions, defects and dependencies through to resolution rather than stopping at analysis or documentation. Collaborative influence: Builds effective relationships while constructively challenging unclear requirements, unsupported assumptions and delivery risks. Structured communication: Converts complex product, AI and control matters into concise recommendations with clear implications. Preferred Technical / Working Knowledge: Practical knowledge of LLM-enabled products, including prompt requirements, retrieval-grounded generation, output evaluation and hallucination risk. Working proficiency in Jira for backlog management, requirements traceability and delivery documentation. Ability to translate user journeys into functional behaviour, user stories and testable acceptance criteria. Working knowledge of Power BI or comparable analytics tools for adoption funnels, feature usage, engagement and release monitoring. Familiarity with knowledge bases, document ingestion, APIs, test automation and enterprise release-management processes.
