Assistant Director of Residence Life (8149)

Friends University is seeking to fill the Assistant Director of Residence Life position in Wichita Kansas. This position is responsible for providing leadership, supervision, and developmental educational opportunities within the residential communities. This position will also assist in providing a coordinated effort to our student leadership development efforts across all student leadership on campus. It is a requirement of this position to live in university housing and eat in the Casado dining room.

• Assists the Director of Residence Life in providing leadership and support to professional and para-professional residence life staff. This includes providing mentorship, assisting with staff development initiatives, supporting departmental projects, and serving as a resource regarding Residence Life policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Assists in the administration of Residence Life conduct process and student support efforts. This includes reviewing incident reports, conducting assigned conduct meetings, maintaining conduct documentation, responding to student concerns, collaborating with campus partners regarding accommodations and student wellbeing, and assisting with crisis response and intervention efforts.
• Coordinates departmental operations and housing processes. This includes assisting with occupancy management, room assignments, housing records, move-in and move-out operations, break and summer housing processes, assessment efforts, and other administrative functions necessary for the effective operation of Residence Life
