Job description

Operate, maintain, repair and do necessary adjustments for all electrical equipment and systems including fire alarm, motor control centers, electrical interconnectivity with third party systems.

Assist fire alarm contractors on scheduled maintenance and brief them on the condition of the equipment.

Ensure sufficient stock of spare parts is available for the electrical equipment and thoroughly check the purchased materials for their quality.

Execute energy saving measures and help the department to reduce the energy cost.

Carry out daily checks on lighting control, power system, electrical service rooms (MV/LV), energy meters, transformer rooms, fire pump rooms, room management system, water tank systems, BMS system ensuring all set parameters are as desired for intended operation.

Familiarize yourself with the total layout of the building and estate regarding safety aspects such as isolation points, etc.

Perform preventive maintenance work on the electrical equipment and maintain service/history reports.

Attend to repair and maintain electrical service system.

Advise improvements to the present system in order to optimize the operating efficiency and economy of the said system.

Assist supervisor to prepare spare parts lists for the electrical equipment.

Attend to repair and maintain general mechanical systems.

Participate in the hotel energy conservation program.

Ensure that the plant room, workshop and related areas are kept in clean and tidy condition.

Also perform breakdown service in guest rooms.

Service and maintain public area electrical equipment.

Carry out occasional repair work as required, following specifications and handle any unexpected problems.

Prevent problems from occurring in the hotel's technical installations.

Follow the preventive maintenance program.

Assist in carrying out monthly inventory of operating equipment.

Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Undertake duties of the electrical technician as per the engineer duty roster.
