Assistant Engineer (EHS)
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for environmental, health and safety projects
Undertake field monitoring work in accordance to approved monitoring procedures
Assist in daily operations of the Environmental Services.
Specific responsibilities:
Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Environmental Services.
Prepare all necessary tools, instruments and documentation to perform task.
Check and determine the required sampling methodologies for each sampling job.
Conduct site survey and obtain samples for laboratory analysis.
Prepare draft field report on pollution monitoring activities.
Co-ordinate with Laboratory employees for quality testing and client’s requirement.
Acquire information on instrument specifications and raise purchase requisition for equipment required.
Ensure that the Department Quality System is fully implemented
Ensure that all operations are conducted within client and recognized industry health and safety requirements.
Perform any tasks as and when required by management.
Requirements:
Min NITEC and above
Prior experience in field work for Environmental related services or testing is an advantage.
Able to work independently and to coordinate several activities simultaneously
Able to work on-board vessel for environmental monitoring
Good communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
Able to maintain highest quality standard all the time
Able to maintain good turnaround time (TAT) and on time delivery (OTD)
Technical knowledge and experience in related field and in using quality management methods and tools
Able to interact with all levels of management, suppliers and clients
Works well under pressure, challenges status quo
