Assistant Engineer

Assistant Engineers play a vital role in the engineering department by assisting in the design, evaluation, and implementation of various projects.

They work under the supervision of Senior Engineers and are involved in different stages of project development.

Assistant Engineers have the following duties and responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of engineering plans, designs, and layout
• Work under the guidance of senior engineers to perform and review engineering calculations
• Assist in the inspection of project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety standards
• Help in the preparation of material requirement and project cost estimates
• Conduct tests of building materials, such as concrete, asphalt, or steel, for use in particular projects
• Help senior engineers in the development of computer-aided design (CAD) project drawings
• Assist in the evaluation, selection, and application of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria
• Participate in project meetings and prepare regular progress reports
• Assist in resolving engineering issues by applying accepted principles, methods, and standards
• Help maintain project files and documentation
