Assistant Factory Manager
Job Responsibilities
1. Production Progress Tracking and Reporting
- Timeline Management: Monitor and track weekly production progress against timelines to ensure project milestones are met.
- Roadblock Resolution: Identify production bottlenecks, such as material shortages, technical issues or information gaps and lead efforts to find solutions to keep the project moving forward.
- Weekly Coordination: Conduct weekly progress meetings with the Production Coordinator and Carpenter Leads to discuss targets and resolve ongoing problems.
- Management Reporting: Prepare and submit weekly progress reports to the Factory Director, showing key metrics, project status and potential risks.
2. Document Control and Technical Revisioning
- Drawing Management: Review, index, and control versions of all incoming construction drawings. Maintain a well-organized archive for both digital and physical documents.
- Distribution: Ensure updated construction drawings a redistributed on time to respective Carpenter Leads to avoid lapses and rework.
- Cost Monitoring: Spot changes in drawings that affect material use or labor hours. Inform the Factory Director about these changes for commercial review and tracking.
3. Material Procurement and Monitoring
- PR Verification: Check all procurement requests against project material specifications to ensure technical accuracy and prevent wastage.
- Procurement Execution: Handle the procurement of raw materials, hardware, and special fittings needed for just-in-time production.
- Long-Lead Monitoring: Track long-lead items to ensure they arrive on time and prevent assembly delays.
4. Subject Matter Expertise
- Technical Guidance: Offer expert advice in carpentry, joinery, and custom fittings. Act as a consultant to the internal team on fabrication methods and detailing.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all construction elements meet high aesthetic standards and structural requirements.
- Problem Solving: Address construction challenges by providing creative and practical solutions for complex designs.
5. Administrative and Safety Compliance
- Safety Documentation: Prepare and submit necessary administrative& safety documents including Name List, Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures and Method Statements for submission and approval.
- Regulatory Compliance: Assist the Factory Director in ensuring the facility operates in line with the latest WSH regulations and company safety standards.
